We are pastors who love communicating the good news of Jesus to people who have yet to meet him. We have had the privilege of leading five churches over the past thirty years.

Our ministries in Croydon, Stafford, Cirencester, Sudbury (Suffolk) and Canford Heath (Poole, Dorset) have challenged us, inspired us, infuriated us and delighted us – probably all in equal measure. Through it all, God has proven himself to be faithful. We have met some amazing people along the way, many of whom remain good friends to this day.

We have complementary gifts and model our ministry on that of Priscilla and Aquila, the first century married couple who responded to God’s call on their lives to be Christian missionaries in the communities where they lived.

Nigel’s current project is a series of sermons in Matthew’s Gospel. Much of his preparation is undertaken on early morning walks with our adorable Labrador puppy, Jack.

Val is a natural evangelist and able homemaker. Val can talk to anyone, and is good at listening too. She has been valued in the volunteer chaplaincy roles she’s had, particularly at the local ASDA store.

Together we delight in offering the gift of hospitality, and find that God uses our home to help people relax and explore what he is saying to them.
